Account is Not Authorized to Log In to This Station

Problem:
When trying to login to a Windows 2000 machine, client gets the following error message: Account is Not Authorized to Log In to this Station

Solution:

1. Double click on My Computer
   
2. Double click on Control Panel
   
3. Double click on Administrative Tools
   
4. Select Local Security Policy
   
5. Select Local Policy
   
6. Select Security Options
   
7. Find Send Unencrypted Password to Connect to 3rd Party SMB Servers
   
8. Right click on Send Unencrypted Password to Connect to 3rd Party SMB Servers
   
9. Select Security
   
10. Select Enabled
    
11. Click OK
    
12. Close all open windows
